Job summary

This role focuses on internal sales within a specific business unit, requiring in-depth knowledge of the product portfolio, pricing, and processes. The specialist will manage quotes and close orders while building strong relationships with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales
  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent telephone communication skills
  • Effective priority management and planning abilities
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Understanding of the sales process
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with IT systems for quotations, order entry, and CRM (SAP preferred)
  • Knowledge of data center products is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships through proactive engagement
  • Generate new business opportunities via outbound calls and detailed customer conversations
  • Meet monthly and quarterly revenue and margin targets
  • Engage in active inside selling by gathering customer information and planning engagement activities
  • Manage customer backorders and participate in project management as needed
  • Provide accurate quotations and negotiate product information, pricing, and promotions
  • Maintain service level agreements with customers
  • Track and manage a pipeline of deals in the CRM system
  • Ensure accurate customer information is maintained in the CRM

Skills

  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

  • Relevant experience in sales, preferably in the IT sector

Tools

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with CRM systems, particularly SAP
