High Voltage Electrical Lead (Construction, Fredericia)

Job summary

An experienced High Voltage Electrical Lead is needed to serve as the Owner’s Representative for significant grid-connection and Data Centre projects in Fredericia, Denmark. The role requires a strong technical background in high-voltage civil works and the ability to manage contractors while ensuring compliance and representing client interests throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in HV substations, transmission/distribution projects, or grid-related civil works.
• Proven track record in an Owner’s Engineer/Owner’s Representative role.
• Background in the construction sector, preferably within a Data Centre context.
• Familiarity with large-scale complex projects and effective client collaboration.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete HV substation design process from concept to detailed design.
• Define interfaces between incoming HV infrastructure and internal facility power systems.
• Direct the commissioning process and manage switching protocols.
• Oversee HV civil engineering packages for grid-connection projects.
• Act as the client’s representative with TSOs/DSOs, EPCs, and contractors.
• Review designs, method statements, and construction drawings for compliance.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance.
• Manage project risks, change control, and progress reporting.

Education

• Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
