Senior Embedded Software Manager

Job summary

An experienced Embedded Software Manager is sought to lead a team of approximately 20 engineers within the R&D Headset department. This role involves managing a diverse team in a complex international environment, focusing on people leadership, technical direction, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing embedded software development teams.
• Familiarity with the full lifecycle of embedded software development, from concept to launch and maintenance.
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to lead larger teams.
• Effective communication skills, capable of translating technical topics for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an embedded software organization of around 20 engineers.
• Create a safe and motivating environment for team growth and performance.
• Collaborate with APAC leadership to shape the organization in a global matrix setup.
• Support employee development and strategic initiatives.
• Lead schedule, quality, and risk management alongside Product Owners and the Quality team.
• Facilitate technical workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Skills

• Good understanding of wireless embedded chipsets, such as Qualcomm and Airoha.
• Collaborative and approachable leadership style, fostering trust across teams and cultures.
• Resilience and maturity to navigate complexity and cultural challenges in a global setup.
