Job summary

The role involves providing statistical expertise and methodological support throughout various project phases, working under the guidance of a senior team member. The Associate will assist in designing, developing, and delivering solutions for clients in the healthcare consulting or pharmaceutical sectors.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with healthcare consulting or pharmaceutical organizations.
  • Strong foundation in statistical concepts and methods, including predictive equations, survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, meta-analysis, and hierarchical analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and Bayesian statistics is advantageous.
  • Proficient in statistical programming with standard software.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Public Health, Health Economics, Health Policy, Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative fields.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a support biostatistician or statistical programmer, collaborating with study teams and sponsors.
  • Assist in drafting statistical sections of protocols and perform sample size and power calculations for studies.
  • Review data management plans and related study documents.
  • Develop statistical analysis plans and specifications for analysis datasets.
  • Create statistical programs to generate listings, tables, and figures as per the statistical analysis plan.
  • Conduct quality control of TLFs and other analysis datasets.
  • Provide statistical input for Clinical Study Reports and ensure adherence to quality standards across projects.

Skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent scientific and business writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in conveying technical information clearly.
  • Competent in written and spoken English.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a quick learning aptitude.
  • Capability to work independently and in a team, with potential leadership in methodological aspects.

Tools

  • Proficient in SAS, R, SQL, or Python.
