Job summary

This position focuses on managing and optimizing physical gas trading and operations within a dynamic energy trading environment. The role involves real-time decision-making and execution to enhance trading performance across European gas markets.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related analytical field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong numerical reasoning and analytical skills, with an understanding of market structures and price formation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively under pressure.
• High technical competence, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with data automation tools like Python or VBA.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Comfortable in a shift-based work environment with real-time decision-making responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize physical gas positions across various assets, focusing on real-time execution and balancing to maximize profit and loss.
• Coordinate nominations and scheduling with Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and internal stakeholders to ensure compliant physical delivery.
• Execute short-term and intraday gas trades based on market conditions, adhering to risk limits and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and analytics teams to enhance overall gas portfolio performance.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational controls, including automation and documentation.
