Job summary

This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities by designing and developing original physics problems that simulate real research workflows. Contributors will work on tasks that require significant computational effort and creative problem-solving in various physics domains.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or related fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied physics, research, or teaching.
  • Familiarity with numerical simulation methods.
  • Ability to create problems that reflect real physics research workflows.
  • Strong creative thinking skills in problem design across different physics areas.
  • Proficient written English (C1+ level).

Project time expectations

Compensation

  • Design original optics problems that are computationally intensive.
  • Develop problems requiring complex reasoning in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
  • Base problems on real-world research challenges or practical applications.
  • Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
  • Estimated workload of 10–20 hours per week during active project phases, subject to project requirements.
  • Earnings of up to $45 per hour, depending on experience and contribution pace. Compensation may vary based on project scope and complexity.
