Job summary

This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities by designing computational physics problems that simulate real research workflows. Contributors will work on tasks that require Python programming and ensure that problems are computationally intensive and grounded in practical physics applications.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other programming languages is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied research or teaching.
  • Experience with numerical simulation methods and problem design in physics.
  • Strong written English skills (C1+).

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require around 10–20 hours per week during active project phases.

Compensation

Contributors can earn up to $45 per hour, depending on their experience and contribution pace, with variations based on project scope and complexity.

  • Design original computational physics problems based on real research challenges.
  • Create problems that require Python programming to solve, ensuring they are computationally intensive.
  • Develop problems that involve complex reasoning in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
  • Verify solutions using Python and document problem statements clearly with verified answers.
