Job summary

This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities focused on testing and improving AI systems through the design of optics problems. Qualifications

  • Degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or related fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles.
  • Proficiency in numerical simulation methods.
  • Ability to create problems that reflect real physics research workflows.
  • Creative problem design skills across diverse physics areas.
  • Familiarity with physics modeling and approximation techniques.
  • Strong written English proficiency (C1+).

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active project phases, based on specific project requirements.

Compensation

Contributors can earn up to $45 per hour, depending on their expertise and contribution pace, with compensation varying across different projects based on scope and complexity.

  • Design original optics problems based on real research challenges.
  • Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually in a reasonable timeframe.
  • Develop problems that require complex reasoning in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
  • Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
