About the role

Job summary

An analytical and business-oriented FP&A Specialist is sought to join a Finance team in Denmark, focusing on financial planning, forecasting, and performance management. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to translate financial and operational data into actionable insights that support sustainable growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, Business Controlling, Financial Analysis, or a similar role.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in engaging with stakeholders and supporting decision-making with data-driven recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial models and large datasets.
  • Good understanding of Power BI and data models.
  • Fluent in English; Danish is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly business performance reviews, providing insights into financial and operational performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to designated functions and stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
  • Contribute to long-term financial planning and strategic target-setting processes.
  • Monitor business performance against budget and forecast, explaining key variances.
  • Review and challenge profitability analyses across customers, products, channels, and business segments.
  • Prepare, review, and validate business cases, financial models, and scenario analyses.
  • Support management reporting and KPI follow-up with clear insights.
  • Drive continuous improvements, automation, and simplification of planning, reporting, and analytical processes.
  • Support strategic initiatives, projects, and ad hoc analyses across the organization.

Skills

  • Curiosity and eagerness to understand business performance drivers.
  • Ability to create structure and build understanding from available information.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.

Tools

  • Advanced Excel, Power BI.
