Job summary

The role of Financial Controller involves managing the financial reporting process and providing business insights to support decision-making. This position requires a hands-on approach across the financial cycle, including month-end closing and forecasting, while collaborating closely with various finance teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in controlling, accounting, or FP&A.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; experience with SOX and internal controls is essential.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SAP and Power BI is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Danish and English, both spoken and written.
• Detail-oriented and reliable, even under tight deadlines.
• Ability to thrive in a global matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Execute the complete month-end closing process for assigned units in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring accurate P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements with high-quality variance analysis.
• Support annual planning and periodic forecasts by gathering inputs, loading and reconciling data, and building driver-based models for revenue, COGS, and Opex.
• Ensure accuracy in P&L and proactively address issues in collaboration with the Shared Service Center.
• Prepare business analyses and reports to aid local management in understanding performance drivers and making informed decisions.
• Assist in consolidating overhead costs and future forecasting, reconcile payroll accounting, and maintain detailed cost center reporting.
• Ensure high SOX compliance and robust internal controls through thorough documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Contribute to process improvements by documenting SOPs and identifying opportunities for simplification and automation in Excel and BI tools.
