Financial Accountant (Copenhagen Area)

Job summary

A structured and hands-on Financial Accountant is needed to join a finance team in a growing international company based in the Copenhagen area. This role involves maintaining the financial foundation that supports the company's commercial expansion and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in an international setting.
• Ownership of responsibilities with a focus on delivering accurate, high-quality work.
• Structured and detail-oriented working style.
• Proactive, positive, and service-oriented approach.
• Fluent communication in English, both verbal and written; Danish is not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with E-conomic or similar financial systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and financial records for a European entity.
• Ensure accurate and timely postings in line with month-end closing procedures.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage supplier invoices and payments.
• Handle employee expenses and corporate credit card reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support VAT, corporate tax, payroll, and statutory reporting processes with external advisors.
• Contribute to financial reporting and insights preparation.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, systems, and controls.
• Support the finance team with ad hoc accounting and financial tasks as needed.
