Finance Student (Aarhus)

Job summary

An ambitious Finance Student is sought to support the Finance team in Aarhus, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic international trading environment. This role involves assisting with various financial tasks and contributing to automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s (later stage) or master’s programme in finance, economics, or business, with at least 1.5 years remaining in studies.
• Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles, with an interest in commodities trading.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, detail-oriented, and proficient in Excel.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Curiosity for data, technology, and automation; experience with Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Business Central, or AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly P&L reporting and variance analysis across various trading verticals.
• Prepare and maintain reconciliations, including futures positions and mark-to-market balances.
• Build and maintain reporting in Power BI to transition from manual Excel processes to automated data systems.
• Support the development and testing of AI and automation tools, and maintain Microsoft Business Central through testing and documentation.
• Help with month-end close, data quality checks, and ad hoc analysis for the Finance Business Partner.

Skills

• Proactive and curious, with the ability to work under guidance and gradually take ownership of tasks.
• Available for 10–20 hours per week, ready to start as soon as possible.

Education

• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s programme in finance, economics, or business.
