Finance Associate (Lahore)

Job summary

The Finance Associate will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks and supporting financial strategies. This role demands a detail-oriented individual who can ensure precise financial reporting and compliance while providing insights for business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential accounting functions, including billing, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, cost accounting, inventory tracking, and revenue recognition.
• Maintain accurate financial records by posting transactions, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare, update, and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in audits, tax filings, and financial reviews by organizing relevant financial data in compliance with regulations.
• Address internal and external financial inquiries by analyzing data and providing clear insights.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning through data analysis and reporting.
• Document and enhance accounting procedures and internal controls for improved efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

Good to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• Over 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities independently and collaborating effectively in a team.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, CMA, or ACCA.
• Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks or Gusto.
• Knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with financial reporting standards and compliance in a global context.
• Understanding of cloud technologies and their impact on financial models.
