External Reporting Specialist (Corporate Accounting & Finance, Hedehusene)

Job summary

The role involves preparing annual statutory financial statements and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards for a group of holding companies. You will coordinate external audits and collaborate with various internal teams to validate reporting data.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing statutory financial statements and regulatory filings.
• Familiarity with working alongside external auditors.
• Knowledge of IFRS and/or ÅRL (Danish local GAAP).
• Strong Excel skills; experience with SAP ERP is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual statutory financial statements for group holding companies.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate the year-end audit process and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Prepare reconciliations, audit documentation, and supporting workpapers.
• Monitor changes in accounting and reporting requirements and assess their impact.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather and validate reporting data.
• Submit statutory reports to relevant authorities and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.
• Contribute to the improvement and standardization of reporting processes.

Education

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Tools

• Proficiency in Excel and experience with SAP ERP.
