About the role

Job summary

A Document Controller is needed to support the management, distribution, and quality control of project documentation in Amsterdam. This role involves collaboration with design, engineering, and site management teams to ensure accurate records and compliance with project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Validate, check, and manage all incoming and outgoing project documentation, ensuring proper classification and retrieval.
  • Establish and maintain central site files and registers, including Operation & Maintenance, Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, and BCAR files.
  • Implement change control processes within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
  • Prepare distribution matrices, status reports, and workflows for submissions and reports as per project requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings to discuss documentation and information management matters.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in document management workflows.
  • Cover for other Document Controllers as needed.
  • Provide training and support for new users of document management systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing large volumes of project data from various sources.
  • Strong communication skills for educating stakeholders on document protocols.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring others.
  • Knowledge of file naming conventions and organizational skills.

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of ISO 19650, BS 1192, and PAS 1192 standards.
  • Experience with VFP, FV, or similar CDE platforms.

Education

  • Advanced user of relevant document management software.

Tools

  • Microsoft Office Suite, VFP, FV, and other digital field tools.
