Development Chemist (Pharmaceuticals, Vejen)

Job summary

A permanent position is available for a Development Chemist at a laboratory in Vejen, focusing on a 4-year R&D project in collaboration with various Danish and international partners. The role includes the opportunity to pursue an Industrial PhD with the University of Copenhagen, concentrating on developing an AI-assisted decision-support tool for optimizing wastewater treatment processes.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. in chemistry or a related field with a focus on analytical chemistry.
• Experience in method development and familiarity with chromatographic techniques is preferred.
• Interest in artificial intelligence is advantageous.
• Fluent in English, with a willingness to learn Danish.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an AI-assisted tool for wastewater treatment optimization.
• Collaborate with chemists, technicians, and external partners on the R&D project.
• Conduct non-target screening analysis of micropollutants and contribute to mechanistic modeling.
• Engage in international collaborations with public and private sector entities.
