The role involves providing on-site technical support for desktop systems and peripherals, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining computer systems, as well as managing user accounts and inventory.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a related field or 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Excellent technical knowledge of PCs and desktop hardware
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist and A+ certification preferred
  • Proficient in Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and Apple products
  • Familiarity with networking protocols and enterprise backup software

Responsibilities

  • Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
  • Perform preventative maintenance and remedial repairs on computers and peripherals
  • Document repairs and maintain inventory of parts
  • Monitor and manage network-connected devices and escalate issues as needed
  • Provide user data recovery and support for hardware/software issues
  • Collaborate with IT team members on new builds and upgrades

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Education

  • Associate's degree in a related area or equivalent experience
