Job summary

The role involves working within the Markets Data Office to enhance data governance and quality across various domain areas. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure critical data is accurately defined and monitored.

Qualifications

  • Experience in data analysis, data quality, or a related field
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to understand data in the context of business processes
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration
  • Proficiency in producing clear and structured documentation
  • Familiarity with SQL or similar tools is beneficial
  • Experience with Great Expectations or Databricks is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Identify and document Critical Data Attributes (CDAs) and support governance of Critical Data Elements (CDEs)
  • Analyze data quality, identify issues, and assist in root cause investigations
  • Define and maintain data definitions, rules, and documentation for monitoring activities
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and suitability for business use
  • Monitor quality outputs and track remediation activities, escalating unresolved issues
  • Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and stakeholders across business and technology
  • Support implementation of data governance practices and controls

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a structured approach to documentation

Education

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in data-related fields

Tools

  • SQL or similar data analysis tools
  • Great Expectations or Databricks (preferred but not required)
