Data Engineer (Copenhagen)

Job summary

We are seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to join our Copenhagen office, focusing on establishing a robust data foundation for the organization. This role involves practical execution and decision-making regarding data architecture and tooling, aiming to create reliable data structures that support AI and automation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with data from real business systems.
• Proficient in SQL for querying, transforming, and validating data.
• Experience with Python or another scripting language for data processing.
• Familiarity with building data pipelines using managed ELT connectors and custom integrations.
• Knowledge of modern data warehouses or cloud data platforms.
• Ability to structure raw data into clean, reusable models for reporting and analysis.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the end-to-end data platform setup, including ingestion, storage, modeling, and delivery.
• Map business systems to bring in data via managed ELT connectors or custom-built pipelines.
• Create maintainable datasets from raw data, ensuring data quality and documentation.
• Prepare data for AI applications, ensuring it is structured and reliable.
• Automate data flows and build dashboards on top of trusted models.

Skills

• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with data pipeline construction and ETL/ELT concepts.
• Familiarity with the modern data stack, including tools like dbt, Snowflake, and Airflow.
• Interest in AI-powered features and data governance.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in data engineering or a related field.

Tools

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is a plus.
