Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems and computer/server hardware or networking protocols.
  • Experience with component-level repairs on IT equipment.
  • Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) of equipment and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure across various projects.
  • Report and troubleshoot straightforward issues with equipment or infrastructure.
  • Maintain data security and integrity, ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Disassemble and maintain equipment that has reached its end-of-life.
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on servers and infrastructure based on identified issues.

Skills

  • Ability to collaborate with teams and adapt to a changing work environment.
  • Certification in IT Support Professional Certificate program is preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in a data center or network operation center environment is preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Tools

  • Familiarity with server hardware, networking protocols, and Linux systems is beneficial.
