Job summary

This role involves leading the sales activities for a pharmaceutical company in Italy, focusing on market expansion and team development. The Country Manager will be responsible for establishing a local presence and driving growth in the market.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record in managing business operations and sales in Italy.
  • Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical landscape, with an existing network of pharmacies and hospitals preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including purchasing groups, hospitals, wholesalers, and pharmacies.
  • Ensure the company’s position as a preferred supplier of parallel-imported and generic products.
  • Manage tenders and oversee participation in hospital contracts.
  • Oversee portfolio management, pricing strategies, and stock levels to maximize profitability.
  • Lead and expand the local sales team, coordinating with headquarters.
  • Drive financial and production forecasting to meet local budget targets.

  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills in both Italian and English.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities focused on long-term growth.

Education

  • Relevant degree in business, management, or a related field preferred.

Tools
