About the role

Job summary

The Costing Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and transparency of manufacturing costs across the supply chain. This role provides financial insights and decision support to Operations and Finance by analyzing cost drivers and monitoring manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Over 5 years of experience in finance roles, preferably in a supply chain manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or medical devices
  • Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, variance analysis, and manufacturing processes
  • Proficient with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, AX) and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strong English proficiency for working in an international context

Responsibilities

  • Ensure transparency and understanding of COGS across the organization, including product costing and supplier pricing
  • Maintain and enhance standard costing models across manufacturing sites and product portfolios
  • Lead annual budgeting processes for COGS price updates
  • Support cross-functional projects aimed at improving COGS
  • Act as the primary finance partner for manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement on costing topics
  • Assist in bringing transparency to cost prices within the CMO organization
  • Build knowledge in ERP systems (AX and SAP)

Education

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
