Corporate Actions Associate (Remote)

Job summary

The role involves processing and reconciling corporate actions for a clearing back office team, focusing on both domestic and international transactions. The Corporate Actions Associate will be responsible for managing distributions, reorganizations, and redemptions across various asset types, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Corporate Actions.
• Direct experience with DTC Corporate Action Web.
• Familiarity with ICE CA data, BNY processing, and OCC Option CA processes.
• Understanding of brokerage clearing operations and U.S. securities back office operations.
• Knowledge of financial industry regulations and laws.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaboratively in a team.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or other database languages.
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Google document and spreadsheet tools.
• Must possess a FINRA SIE or obtain it within the first 180 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Process and validate corporate action events with high attention to detail.
• Interface with external vendors and custodians to confirm event details.
• Reconcile corporate actions and ensure accounts are balanced daily.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in corporate actions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for corporate actions.
• Respond to corporate action-related inquiries and requests.
• Enhance procedures and assist in automating self-clearing processes.

Education

• Associate’s degree in a business-related field is preferred, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.

Tools

• Experience with Slack and corporate action processing on DTCC's portal is a plus.
