Job summary

This role involves ensuring the reliable operation of critical data center infrastructure through monitoring and responding to systems and alarms. The Control Room Specialist will work in a shift-based environment to support 24/7 operations in Viborg, Denmark.

Qualifications

  • Technical education or training, preferably as an Electrician, Marine Engineer, or Cooling Technician
  • 1–3+ years of experience in a mission-critical environment, such as a data center, shipping, power/heat plant, or oil & gas
  • Experience in a control room environment, including BMS, SCADA, and Fire Life Safety systems
  • Electrical or mechanical certification/license

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate critical and non-critical data center infrastructure and systems
  • Respond to alarms and alerts, minimizing downtime
  • Act as an incident specialist, coordinating with cross-functional teams during incidents
  • Monitor power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions
  • Support troubleshooting, analysis, and optimization of technical systems
  • Perform facility rounds and physical inspections
  • Develop and execute operating procedures and standards
  • Support change control activities and ensure compliance with procedures

Skills

  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work safely with hand and power tools
  • Attention to detail and a proactive, reliable attitude

Education

  • Technical education or training in a relevant field

Tools

  • Experience with BMS, SCADA, CMMS, Fire Life Safety, and network systems
