About the role

Job summary

The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and executing installations in a railway environment, ensuring site readiness and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Over 7 years of experience in construction or installation management, particularly in rail, telecoms, electrical, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of permits, RAMS, inspections, site sequencing, and subcontractor control.
  • Proven ability to enhance productivity while maintaining safety and quality.
  • Resilience in managing stress during site constraints and rework pressures.
  • Demonstrated leadership on-site and disciplined record-keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee daily and weekly construction activities, including workforce deployment and subcontractor performance.
  • Ensure adherence to approved drawings, HSE controls, and quality records.
  • Coordinate materials readiness and manage site interfaces and access conflicts.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts related to construction issues and escalate risks as necessary.
  • Maintain installation records and ensure readiness for testing and commissioning.
  • Enforce the company's Code of Conduct in all role-specific decisions.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate effectively.
  • Proficient in risk management and safety protocols.

Education

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in construction management or related fields.

Tools
