Construction Manager

Job summary

The role involves overseeing construction activities for critical digital infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards while facilitating a smooth transition from construction to operations.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Construction Management.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience managing contractors and construction activities in complex projects, particularly in data centers or critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety requirements during construction.
• Oversee construction from planning to completion and handover to Operations.
• Manage daily activities of General Contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
• Monitor installation quality and adherence to design documentation.
• Collaborate with Design, Security, Operations, and Project Management teams.
• Develop and track project schedules with stakeholders.
• Lead weekly progress meetings to align on milestones.
• Support procurement and ensure timely delivery of equipment.
• Monitor site progress and contractor performance.
• Ensure adherence to safety requirements and manage incident reporting.
• Oversee commissioning activities according to quality standards.
• Identify and escalate project risks and technical issues.

Skills

• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling, quality management, and contractor management.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.

Tools

• Familiarity with project management software and construction management tools is advantageous.
