Commercial Marine Specialist (Energy, Aarhus or Copenhagen)

Job summary

This role involves managing procurement activities for jack-up vessels in the offshore wind and oil & gas sectors. The position focuses on developing commodity strategies, conducting sourcing and tender activities, and negotiating contracts while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic degree in maritime studies or equivalent experience
• Extensive experience in negotiating marine contracts, particularly in the wind or oil & gas industries
• Significant experience with vessel chartering, especially jack-up vessels
• Operational knowledge of the offshore industry with a commercial mindset
• Proven ability to manage commodities in complex global environments
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the commodity strategy for turbine installation and service jack-up vessels
• Manage sourcing and tender activities for jack-up vessels
• Collaborate with negotiation teams to develop sourcing strategies and prepare RFI/RFQ documents
• Conduct contract negotiations and guide commercial evaluations of incoming bids
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct business review meetings
• Provide market intelligence and commodity analysis to internal stakeholders
