Biology & Python Expert (Remote)

Job summary

This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities focused on enhancing AI systems through computational biology challenges. Contributors will design and develop complex problems that require Python programming and biological expertise.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biology or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other programming languages is acceptable.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles.
• Experience with biological data analysis and algorithms.
• Knowledge of bioinformatics tools and computational methods.
• Strong written English skills (C1+).

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require around 10–20 hours per week during active project phases.

Compensation

Contributors can earn up to $45 per hour, depending on their expertise and contribution pace.

• Create original computational biology problems simulating real research workflows.
• Develop problems that require Python programming to solve, ensuring they are computationally intensive.
• Document problem statements and provide verified correct answers.
