About the role

Job summary

This role involves leading the Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy and project portfolio within a department, ensuring alignment with site priorities and driving results through data-driven leadership. The position is a fixed-term maternity cover for 12 months.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharma sector within a GMP environment.
  • Strong understanding of GMP regulations and quality systems.
  • Proven experience in driving systemic change, strategy deployment, and cultural transformation.
  • Effective collaboration skills across various departments including QA, QC, and Manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Ability to influence and achieve results using structured CI/lean methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the area strategy and CI portfolio.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable roadmaps and success metrics.
  • Plan and facilitate strategic workshops and initiatives to remove operational bottlenecks.
  • Design and implement learning activities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Manage the CI/Projects team, including hiring and performance management.
  • Ensure KPI integrity and prepare performance dashboards for review.
  • Report on progress and escalate any resource or operational challenges.

Education

  • Relevant degree in engineering, pharmacy, life sciences, or a related field.

Tools

  • Familiarity with CI/Lean methodologies, A3/PDCA, Kaizen, visual management, and KPI design.
