Assistant Category Manager

Job summary

This role involves supporting the growth of the Air business by contributing to Air Procurement strategies within Asset Strategy & Strategic Partnerships. The Assistant Category Manager will engage with various stakeholders to enhance procurement performance and drive digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Business Analytics, Airline Operations, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data reporting and business insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar tools is advantageous.
• Interest in data science, automation, AI, and digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing events, contract negotiations, and supplier management within Air Procurement categories.
• Provide spend transparency and performance reporting through data analytics.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools for data-driven decision making.
• Identify cost optimization and process improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define sourcing requirements and strategies.
• Support the implementation of category strategies and supplier governance frameworks.
• Contribute to procurement digitalization and AI-enabled tools deployment.
• Evaluate new technologies and analytics solutions for procurement efficiency.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
