Appointed Person for Lifting Operations (Renewable Energy, Aarhus)

Job summary

The role involves managing complex lifting operations across offshore installations in Northern and Central Europe, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The Appointed Person will prepare detailed plans and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in lifting operations, with at least 2 years in planning lifting activities.
• Certifications: IOSH Leading Safely or NEBOSH, CPCS Blue Card (Appointed Person), and ideally Level 5 NVQ for Lifting.
• Knowledge of DNVGL-ST-N001, BS7121, and local regulations for lifting duties.
• Proficient in implementing Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and conducting risk assessments.
• Skilled in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and proficient with MS Office and AX.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all lifting operations for offshore installations in Northern and Central Europe.
• Serve as the nominated Appointed Person and subject matter expert for complex lifting tasks.
• Administer the Safe System of Work (SSoW) for lifting operations, ensuring compliance and updates.
• Develop lifting plans and rigging drawings, maintaining control over lifting activities.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, and engineering stakeholders, representing the organization in meetings.
• Assess staff competencies and provide necessary training and inductions.
• Ensure all operations adhere to QHSE standards and resolve cross-functional issues systematically.
