Job summary

This role focuses on fostering strong partnerships and driving commercial growth within the biopharmaceutical sector, specifically targeting large strategic accounts in Europe. The Vice President will lead initiatives to enhance customer relationships and convert opportunities into business success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (Chemistry or Biology preferred)
  • Over 10 years of experience in business development and sales in the biologics CDMO sector or a related industry
  • Proven track record of managing complex commercial opportunities with large pharmaceutical clients
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in advancing opportunities through multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical abilities

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement account plans to drive sales growth and establish long-term partnerships
  • Lead customer engagement activities, including proposals, meetings, and site visits
  • Identify and advance business development opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Coordinate with internal teams across technical, legal, financial, and operational functions
  • Support contract negotiations and ensure timely progress on agreements
  • Provide market insights to enhance decision-making and commercial strategies

Skills

  • Strong commercial acumen with a consultative approach
  • Ability to build trust and manage high-stakes discussions
  • Detail-oriented with a structured approach to planning and execution

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline is a plus

Travel

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and business development tools is advantageous
  • Extensive travel required, approximately 50-70%.
