About the role

Job summary

An experienced New Business Salesperson is sought to join a successful sales team focused on selling statistical software to new and existing customers. The role involves managing the full sales cycle and driving new business across Ireland and the Nordics.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in full sales cycle, with a proven track record in software solutions or scientific/engineering hardware sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, MIS, or a relevant field.
  • Strong ability to analyze territory dynamics and develop effective sales plans.
  • Experience in uncovering and developing sales opportunities in new-name accounts and existing customers.
  • Right to work in the UK or Denmark with the ability to travel across Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and create opportunities aligned with the customer profile.
  • Prospect within the assigned territory to uncover business needs.
  • Define and deliver territory and account management plans, qualifying sales opportunities and forecasting pipeline.
  • Collaborate with sales teams, including Inside Sales and Sales Engineers, throughout the sales process.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals, finalizing contracts with relevant departments.
  • Engage with senior decision-makers to ensure customer satisfaction and identify additional revenue opportunities.
  • Follow security policies to support secure software development goals.

Skills

  • Knowledge of sales techniques and software acquisition cycles.
  • Ability to communicate technical and business concepts effectively.
  • Strong independent working skills as well as teamwork capabilities.
  • High activity level suited for a new business role.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with JMP software and related marketing goals, applications, and industry trends.
