Vessel Manager (Offshore Wind Industry)

Job summary

The role involves acting as the liaison between the shoreside organization and designated vessels for all marine-related matters in the offshore wind sector. The position focuses on ensuring operational availability and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in vessel operations, marine, or offshore disciplines is preferred.
• Background in marine/offshore/construction operations.
• Familiarity with Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV) operations is desirable.
• Experience in technical budgeting and management.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives promoting safety, compliance, and environmental protection.
• Plan, submit, and manage vessel budgets and significant expenditure authorizations.
• Develop and maintain management system procedures and vessel-specific documentation.
• Support marine and technical investigations and define corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with Marine HR on crewing matters, including recruitment and development plans.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Well-organized with a focus on environmental considerations.

Education

• Relevant educational background in marine or offshore disciplines is preferred.

Tools

• Proficient in computer software, particularly MS Office.
