Job summary

This role involves managing bunker fuel deliveries for a dynamic Front Office team, focusing on optimizing commercial outcomes while minimizing delays to customer vessels. The position requires close collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations in the energy market sector.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Oil & Gas operations; familiarity with bunker operations is advantageous.
  • Academic background in commerce, administration, shipping & logistics, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, energetic approach to work.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage supply/demand for timely scheduling of loads and deliveries from suppliers and terminals.
  • Collaborate with Trading on product movement planning and evaluate commercial impacts.
  • Build relationships with barge personnel and service providers.
  • Conduct quality and quantity controls to ensure on-spec fuel delivery and manage loss control.
  • Monitor and optimize barge operations to minimize idle time.
  • Oversee barge maintenance and docking schedules, maintaining contingency plans.
  • Review and approve operational expenses related to the delivery process.
  • Track barge demurrage on physical movements and ensure timely claims.
  • Support Finance with month-end processes, including stock reconciliation.

Education

  • Academic education in relevant fields such as commerce, administration, or logistics.

Tools

  • Familiarity with logistics and operational management tools is beneficial.
