About the role

Job summary

The role involves managing bunker fuel deliveries for a maritime fleet and third parties in Europe, focusing on optimizing operations and minimizing delays. The position is part of a dynamic Front Office team within the Energy Markets department, which is dedicated to achieving net-zero targets by 2040.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Oil & Gas operations; bunker operations experience is advantageous.
  • Academic background in commerce, administration, shipping & logistics, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proactive self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage delivery schedules for barges, vessels, and terminals.
  • Collaborate closely with Trading to evaluate the commercial impact of operational decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with barge personnel and service providers.
  • Conduct quality and quantity controls to ensure fuel specifications are met.
  • Optimize barge operations to minimize idle time and improve performance.
  • Oversee barge maintenance and contingency planning for off-hire events.
  • Review and approve operational expenses related to the delivery process.
  • Track barge demurrage and ensure timely claims are raised.
  • Support month-end financial processes, including stock reconciliation.

Education

  • Relevant academic qualifications or equivalent industry experience.

Tools

  • Familiarity with logistics and operational management tools is beneficial.
