Trading Analyst

Job summary

This role involves providing analytical support for trading decisions in a renewable energy trading company. The Trading Analyst will work closely with traders and portfolio managers to enhance performance and optimize a portfolio of renewable, battery, and thermal assets across Europe, the UK, and Ireland.

Qualifications

• A few years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to explore data and explain performance drivers.
• Experience in translating real-world challenges into mathematical optimization problems.
• Solid understanding of probability and statistical distributions, with experience in back-testing algorithms.
• Proficiency in Python, including experience with AI-assisted coding tools.
• Interest in power markets, renewables, or energy systems, along with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the optimization and trading of a diverse asset portfolio.
• Provide analysis and decision support to traders and portfolio managers.
• Develop analytical models and tools to enhance trading strategies and forecasting.
