Technician II (On-site)

Job summary

The Technician II role involves executing service requests, providing remote hands services, and assisting with customer implementations to ensure uninterrupted operation of customer infrastructure. The position emphasizes maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient data center environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in telecommunications, IT, or electrotechnical network infrastructure.
• Proficient in optical fiber installations, wiring networks, and electrical wiring.
• Strong problem analysis and troubleshooting skills, including root cause analysis (RCA).
• Effective communication skills for customer interactions and handling requests or complaints.
• Experience with service-oriented software and task administration.

Responsibilities

• Execute service requests and provide technical customer service support.
• Assist in the implementation of technical projects, including setup and deinstallation of equipment.
• Draft and execute operational procedures, including Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Contribute to the development of Emergency Operating Procedures and escalation procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and document progress and outcomes.
• Provide supervision, training, and mentoring to junior technicians.

Skills

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical interventions.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.

Education

• Relevant technical certifications or degrees in telecommunications, IT, or related fields may be preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with service-oriented software and network configuration tools.
