Technical Project Manager (R&D, Remote)

Job summary

The role involves leading innovative R&D projects focused on sound and vibration measurement technologies, managing both minor and major new product introduction (NPI) projects from business case to product release. The position requires collaboration across various functions to ensure project alignment and successful execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Technical Project Management.
• Proven track record managing multiple technical projects simultaneously.
• Technical background in software, electronics, or mechanics.
• Experience in implementing processes within product development organizations.
• Ability to build trusting relationships quickly with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple R&D projects from concept to release, balancing accuracy and speed.
• Establish strong project structures and efficient workflows.
• Plan and track all hardware, electronics, and mechanical activities.
• Guide technical problem-solving with the engineering team.
• Implement and enhance project processes throughout the development lifecycle.
• Report on project progress, costs, quality, and risks to stakeholders and management.

Skills

• Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Essential SAFe is advantageous.
• Knowledge of project methodologies like PRINCE2 or PMI is preferred.
• Experience with sensing technologies, microphones, accelerometers, or similar is a plus.

Education

• A technical degree in a relevant field is typically expected.

• Proficient in using Jira for project planning and High Stage for document control.
