Technical Assistant (Supply Chain, Copenhagen)

Job summary

The role involves supporting the Technical Review of Education items within the Nutrition Early Child Development Education Centre, contributing to the supply chain operations for children's programs globally.

Qualifications

• Completion of Secondary Education is required; additional relevant courses in education, quality assurance, or related fields are preferred. A Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 3 years of experience, and a Master’s degree may substitute for an additional 2 years.
• At least 5 years of relevant administrative experience in Supply Management, contracting, procurement, or quality assurance is required.

Responsibilities

• Review and update technical specifications and requirements for education items.
• Propose creations and amendments to materials in the material master database.
• Draft preliminary desk reviews and sample evaluations of tenders.
• Explore supplier options and maintain compliance with international standards.
• Monitor Pre-Delivery Inspections and manage the Supply Catalogue and Education intranet webpages.

Skills

• Experience in product technical specification review, quality compliance, supplier sourcing, and tender evaluation is required.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another UN language is an asset.

Education

• Secondary Education is required; relevant higher education is preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with supply chain management tools and databases is beneficial.
