Metro Procurement Leader

Job summary

The Metro Procurement Leader is responsible for providing strategic leadership in procurement, contracting, and supplier relationship management for data center projects. This role focuses on driving commercial value, ensuring supply continuity, mitigating risks, and achieving operational excellence. The leader will manage complex negotiations, oversee contract execution, and ensure compliance while optimizing total cost of ownership.

Responsibilities

• Drive procurement governance, compliance, supplier audits, and policy adherence, establishing scalable processes to reduce costs and mitigate risks.
• Own SLA strategy, negotiation, governance, escalation management, and contingency planning for supplier accountability.
• Lead risk identification and corrective actions with stakeholders and suppliers to enhance operational resilience.
• Build high-performing teams through coaching, empowerment, and talent development.
• Provide executive leadership on procurement, pricing, contract execution, and claims management.
• Execute multi-year sourcing strategies, optimizing cost and supplier performance.
• Lead complex contract negotiations and manage strategic supplier partnerships.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align business objectives and drive consensus on commercial priorities.

Background Check Requirements

• Master's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance, or a related field with experience in data science/analytics, finance, project management, supply chain, or operations; OR Bachelor's Degree in the same fields with proven experience in the mentioned areas; OR equivalent experience.
• Advanced degree with significant experience in the relevant fields.
• Must meet security screening requirements, including passing a background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.
