Tax Manager

Job summary

The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related matters within the organization, including compliance, reporting, and strategic tax planning. This role involves building the tax function from the ground up and working closely with senior finance and legal leadership.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in corporate tax from a listed company or Big Four advisory firm.
• Proven track record in an international environment, managing multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong expertise in transfer pricing, including documentation and authority inquiries.
• Familiarity with VAT compliance across Nordic and/or European jurisdictions; customs experience is a plus.
• Experience collaborating with legal and finance teams, and managing external advisors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate corporate tax and VAT filings across all entities.
• Manage tax provisions and deferred tax positions in consolidated financial statements.
• Develop and maintain transfer pricing policies and documentation.
• Provide proactive tax advice on structuring, M&A, and cross-border transactions.
• Establish a tax risk framework and report on tax positions and risks to senior management.

Skills

• Strong technical knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
• Ability to translate complex tax issues into business implications.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and build structures in a developing function.

Education

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Relevant degree in Law, Economics, Business, or Accounting; professional tax qualifications are advantageous.

Tools

• Experience with tax compliance software and documentation tools is beneficial.
