Sustainability Specialist/Manager (Logistics, Denmark, Germany, Poland)

Job summary

This role focuses on advancing decarbonisation efforts within the logistics sector by managing and enhancing Decarbonisation Products, including electric and biofuel transportation solutions. The position involves ensuring operational integrity and facilitating effective communication and commercialisation of these products across various regions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Data Management, or a related field.
• Proficient knowledge of carbon accounting, ideally within the logistics industry.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee execution and documentation of book-and-claim transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Align ledger operations with reporting standards and coordinate annual third-party verification.
• Manage booking of road reductions and ensure consistency across regions.
• Evaluate low-carbon fuel suppliers and support scaling of Decarbonisation Products.
• Create internal training materials and external communication content, including customer presentations.
• Address complex customer inquiries related to carbon accounting and Decarbonisation Products.

Skills

• Strong communication skills to engage with technical experts and commercial stakeholders.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and evolving regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in compliance, audit, and verification processes.
• Familiarity with sustainability data systems and digital product environments.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.

Tools

• Knowledge of standards such as GHG Protocol, SFC MBM Framework, ISO 14083, and SBTi.
