Job summary

The Support Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for enhancing internal operations and support functions within a humanitarian organization. This position ensures that systems, processes, and resources are compliant and aligned with organizational strategies and humanitarian principles.

Qualifications

  • Degree in management, business administration, law, finance, accounting, or IT management.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing specialists.
  • Experience in financial management, compliance, risk management, IT governance, GDPR, and organizational development.
  • Cross-functional experience at both strategic and operational levels is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning and budget processes, ensuring effective forecasting and alignment with priorities.
  • Develop the Support Department, promoting collaboration and high performance.
  • Oversee financial management, compliance, internal controls, and risk management.
  • Manage procurement processes and contract management for operational efficiency.
  • Ensure IT governance and information security while supporting digitalization initiatives.
  • Maintain GDPR and data protection compliance in collaboration with specialists.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and organizational governance as part of the Management Team.
  • Represent the organization in relevant internal and external forums.

Education
