Job summary

The role involves providing expertise in supply chain management to enhance strategic planning and execution within the organization. The consultant will evaluate the operational performance of the Supply Chain Management Service Desk pilot and make recommendations for future actions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supply chain management, particularly in a regional or international context.
• Strong analytical skills to assess supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Experience in coordinating logistics and procurement activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical inputs into program documents and work plans to ensure supply chain considerations are integrated.
• Support countries in developing multi-year quantification and national supply planning processes.
• Review supply chain management applications and ensure alignment with strategic findings.
• Maintain logs of supply chain management issues and support countries in resolving capacity gaps.
• Analyze stock review reports to optimize supply use and reduce waste.
• Advocate for the integration of supply chain management into regional strategies.
• Assist Country Offices with local procurement and establish agreements with suppliers.
• Conduct logistics coordination to facilitate efficient movement of goods.
