This role involves contributing to the development of interfaces between collaborative robots and factory environments, focusing on simplifying robot integration for customers.

Qualifications

  • Experience or interest in C/C++ programming (embedded or general)
  • Familiarity with Linux-based development environments
  • Curiosity about robot system integration and industrial protocols (e.g., Profinet, EthernetIP, Modbus)
  • Some exposure to Git, CI/CD pipelines, or modern development workflows
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance URScript, the programming language for robots
  • Work with various communication interfaces including Modbus, Profinet/EthernetIP, RTDE, ROS2, and OPC/UA
  • Explore next-generation fieldbus technologies and protocols like MQTT
  • Support workcell coordination features to optimize robot functionality on the factory floor
  • Collaborate with teams on containerization and open-source platforms for better integrator solutions
