Job summary

This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in European power markets, focusing on intraday trading activities. The role involves supporting experienced traders in live trading, market analysis, and operational processes, while developing commercial and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Interest in trading, energy or financial markets, and commercial problem-solving.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field (preferably at the Master's level or later stage of Bachelor's).
• Ability to remain calm and organized in pressured situations.
• Curiosity about market behavior and price responses to new information.
• Collaborative approach with openness to feedback and learning.
• Interest in technology, automation, or data-driven decision-making.
• Familiarity with Python or similar programming languages is advantageous.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support and gradually participate in intraday power trading across European markets.
• Analyze market fundamentals, price movements, renewable generation, and cross-border flows.
• Monitor weather forecasts and assess their impact on power prices.
• Produce market analysis and trading insights for the desk.
• Assist with operational tasks, reporting, trade validation, and process improvements.
• Help develop analytical tools and automation solutions to support trading activities.
