Job summary

This role focuses on managing carbon accounting and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements. The position involves working with various stakeholders to collect, validate, and report carbon data, while driving improvements in processes and performance.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in carbon accounting; familiarity with Watershed is a plus.
  • Proficient in carbon and financial controlling, as well as audit processes.
  • Skilled in data analytics and reporting.
  • Advanced degree in finance, sustainability, engineering, or science.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with stakeholders including customers and finance teams.
  • Oversee quarterly carbon data collection, validation, and reconciliations.
  • Deliver quarterly carbon reports and ad-hoc reports to various organizations.
  • Drive continuous improvements in carbon reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and manage year-end audits.
  • Compile and check data models required for carbon calculations.
  • Produce customer carbon reports and advise on areas for improvement.

Skills

  • Strong leadership skills to develop a junior team.
  • Independent problem-solving abilities with minimal supervision.

Education

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field such as finance, sustainability, engineering, or science.

Tools

  • Experience with carbon accounting tools, particularly Watershed, is advantageous.
