Job summary

This position is for a student interested in supporting data-driven simulation within the Utility & Solvents discipline, focusing on process and utility simulation in pharmaceutical engineering. The role involves collaboration with engineers and other students to develop insights for future pharmaceutical facilities.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in the first year of a Master of Science program at a Danish University
  • Studying Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field
  • Coursework or experience in process/utility modeling or simulation
  • Strong interest in process utilities and utility systems
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

  • Assist in simulation and modeling activities related to process utilities
  • Develop and maintain simulation models to assess design concepts
  • Utilize discrete-event and process simulation tools for utility systems analysis
  • Collaborate with engineers to convert utility processes into simulation logic
  • Prepare input data, validate models, and interpret simulation outcomes
  • Support proof-of-concept initiatives like digital twins and early simulations
  • Document models, assumptions, and insights clearly and visually

Skills

  • Curiosity about the behavior of process utility systems in complex pharmaceutical environments
  • Creative and analytical mindset with strong data visualization and analysis skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured manner
  • Effective collaboration in team projects

Tools

  • Experience with simulation tools such as INOSIM, DWSim, MATLAB, Python, Aspen, or similar is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with process utility systems (energy, water, etc.) is advantageous

Education

  • Enrollment in a relevant Master's program at a Danish University
