Student Assistant, Product Control

Job summary

This role involves supporting the Product Control team in data, analytics, and documentation within a global energy trading business. The position is designed for students seeking hands-on experience in commodity trading and analytics.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, data science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field, with at least one year of study remaining.
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with data.
• Basic knowledge of Python and experience using AI tools for automation. Familiarity with Power BI or SQL is a plus.
• Interest in financial markets and commodities.
• Strong attention to detail and good written English skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with analytical tasks, including summarizing daily P&L drivers and preparing reports.
• Gather, clean, and organize trade and position data for reporting purposes.
• Support daily and monthly reporting by running data checks and exception reports.
• Help automate manual tasks and maintain documentation of control processes.
• Provide general support across P&L, Systems & Process, and Market Risk as needed.
